Help Computer!
My computer is sitting on my desk elevated by four stacks of 1 Yen coins (finally proving to be of some use) to prevent the bottom from overheating, which it does so after about 30 minutes of use, completely freezing and leaving all my work unsaved. Up till now I felt like a caveman, being strapped to a wireless modem that allows me to connect to the internet at a paltry 100kbps in "turbo" mode, 10x slower than a university T1 line and 100x slower than my beautiful commercial line at home. Now I feel even more primordial, unable to go through the day's news without huffing and puffing like the big bad wolf on my CPU as I hear it whining towards meltdown. I feel like smashing it with a bamboo rod.
Sometimes back at home, when I'm shopping online, I feel like Johnny Mnemonic, completely wired into my system, accessing 10-15 different search engines simultaneously, typing with one hand and mousing with the other. When I'm feeling saucy or particularly inspired I like to type with my eyes closed, and admittedly it makes me feel a little cool because I can do it well (of course admitting all this immediately makes me feel the exact opposite). To say the least, it pains me now to be living in such a high-tech city with such low tech gear.
So if my blog seems asequential or temporally disorganized, this is the reason why: my laptop has been punted into the palliative care unit, and will be departing this Earth in the near future. I've been forced to back date several posts (several more yet to be posted), since I am able to upload them only with the blessings of my computer. And he is a cruel, cruel master.

I will, of course, not be posting to your blog as a facetious prophylactic device - that privelege is reserved for Semetic blogs.
Speaking of blogs, I noticed yours is overridden with references to masculinity (or lack thereof) . . . is this something new that the surgical culture has engendered in you, or has this awareness always been a part of your psyche?
Sorry to hear about your computer :-(. I feel your pain. My computer started dying in the final weeks of school, and I felt adrift with the loss of my Zen-like synergy to electronics. Specifically, to my mac. Are you gonna get a mac now?
Speaking of Macs, the new Apple store on 5th avenue is an excellent photo opportunity at night.
Let me know when you get back to the City; maybe you and me and Karen (and whatever fellating nurses you've procured) can hang out. Regarding the nurse actually . . . I couldn't tell from the picture, but is she fellating or presenting herself? Either way, I need to go to the bathroom for a few minutes.
Rish and I have been hanging out a bit, playing lots of video games and the like. A new strategy game came out for 360, so we've been rockin' that game Korean-style. And by rockin', I mean "getting rocked by Koreans". They are SO good at strategy games.
Hope you're having a good time man -
